About the Collaboratives Resource Hub
The Collaboratives Resource Hub aims to support India’s philanthropic ecosystem (including domestic and international foundations, CSRs, HNIs, and the Indian diaspora) to tackle complex, intersectional, and systemic issues through collaborative approaches with potential for non-linear impact.
Per our recent studies in India and globally, collaborative philanthropy is a rapidly growing pathway that enables actors to make more progress against India’s large, complex social challenges than they would have if they acted alone. Evidence suggests that collaborative approaches have unlocked greater giving and scale and have been effective in building field capacities and supporting systems change efforts.
Bridgespan surveys reveal that while intent is strong, three key reasons are holding back philanthropy from engaging in collaborative action.
With the aim of unlocking investments in bold-bet opportunities for India through collaborative approaches, the Hub works to:
1. Discover and showcase high-impact collaborative opportunities and partners, especially domestic funders, in high-traction areas like livelihoods, gender equity, climate and health
2. Support high-quality design of collaborative bold-bet initiatives, working closely with action-oriented domestic philanthropy leaders and other social sector organizations
3. Enable trust-based dissemination of guides and best practices for collaborative action among value and mission-aligned actors
If you are a leader working in the Indian impact ecosystem and are looking forward to exploring potential collaborative opportunities in your work, we would love to speak with you and support you in this journey.
