Philanthropy calling: Emmett Carson’s unanticipated career
After completing research on individual African American giving, Emmett Carson received the first of two phone calls that would draw him into ever-greater leadership roles in philanthropy, first at the Ford Foundation and then at the Minneapolis Foundation.
