Avneet Kaur
Principal, MumbaiDr. Avneet Kaur is a principal in Bridgespan’s Mumbai office. She has worked across the public and private sector in areas of policy making, program implementation, advisory, knowledge management, Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility. Her research interests include Human Development and Capability Approach, Gender and Development and Behavioral Psychology.
Prior to Bridgespan, Avneet worked with the National Skill Development Corporation as Vice President, Advisory and International Collaborations. During this tenure she led international workforce mobility and technical advisory projects with foreign governments and International Organizations on TVET and skilling ecosystem development. She has also led innovative impact financing projects, notably the first Development Impact Bond for skilling in collaboration with a coalition comprising BAT, MSDF, CIFF, HSBC India, JSW Foundation, Dubai Cares, FCDO and USAID. Previously, Avneet worked as a Consultant with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (GoI) on a World Bank program aimed at strengthening institutional capacities, improving quality and market relevance of skills training and promoting inclusion of women. She was also a Consultant with the Behavioral Insights Team, Cabinet office, (London) working on education and skills. Prior to transitioning to the development sector, Avneet led HR and CSR portfolios in the private sector, including with Khaitan & Co law firm, UnitedLex and Vertex Consulting.
Avneet is a Cambridge Commonwealth Trust scholar and holds a doctorate in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge (UK), MPP from University of Cambridge (UK), MA Organizational Psychology from the University of Delhi (India) and BA Psychology from Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University (India).
