Anthony Michael Abril
Senior Manager, BostonAnthony Michael Abril is a senior manager in Bridgespan’s Boston office. Anthony originally joined Bridgespan’s San Francisco office in 2016, where he spent six years, and then re-joined in 2024 after completing his master’s degree. Through Anthony’s client work, he has supported nonprofits and philanthropists across a range of issues including education equity, economic mobility, racial justice, and place-based change. Past clients have included PolicyLink, California Tribal College, Spring Branch Independent School District, Seattle Foundation, and Tides. Anthony co-authored “The Impact of Large, Unrestricted Grants on Nonprofits: A Five-Year View”, and he led research for the report co-authored with PolicyLink, titled “Moving from Intention to Impact: Funding Racial Equity to Win.”
Prior to joining Bridgespan, Anthony worked on the Research and Policy Analysis team at Education Trust-West, where he supported advocacy to improve policy conditions and equitable outcomes for students of color in California. Anthony has also served as a Fellow and Advisor to Harlem Children’s Zone on their Wealth Builds initiative. Anthony currently serves on the board of MyPath, a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization that fosters pathways for upward economic mobility, and he previously served on the board for Vision Alameda County, a regional grant maker in the bay area.
Anthony earned a BA in Sociology with an Education Minor from the University of California, Berkeley and a master’s degree in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
